Eva Ugarte Gonsalez, 78, of Littlefield, formerly of California, passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2025 in Littlefield. She was born June 17, 1947 in Juarez, Mexico to Mario and Eva Ugarte.

Eva married Miguel Gonzales in 1969 in Reno, Nevada. They lived in California before moving to Texas two years ago to be closer to a couple of their children. Eva was an extraordinary woman, and exemplary wife, devoted mom, and loving grandmother. She had a heart of gold, always put her family first, and was spreading love wherever she went. Her unwavering honesty was truly inspiring, she would always speak her mind without fear. Her beautiful voice would lift our spirits and bring big smiles to everyone's face. Her singing was like a symphony of love. She had a flair for style, particularly when it came to her hair, which she would always wear with elegance. Eva was also an excellent cook who appreciated good home cooking, and she was a talented seamstress. She was a very charismatic woman who was always the life of the party. Eva was the rock of the family and a strong Christian woman who taught her family about the Lord. She loved sharing stories and showing her family pictures from the past, taking everyone on a journey down memory lane. Her family cherished every moment with her, and although it is hard for them to say goodbye, her legacy will live on in their hearts forever, a constant reminder of the impact she made on their lives and the countless memories they shared with her.

Eva is survived by her husband, Miguel Gonzales of Littlefield; 3 daughters, Ivonne Tarango of San Jose, CA. Veronica Gonsalez-Ortega and husband Alejandro of Los Banos, CA and Patricia Gonsalez and husband Rafael Franco of Littlefield; her two sons, Osvaldo Tarango and wife Nancy Gomez of Texas and Miguel Gonzales of Littlefield; 12 grandchildren, Aaron Jacob Hurtado, Ricardo Adam Prieto, Alyssa Gabrielle Tarango, Brenda Rojero, llianna Tarango, Elvira Alejandra Ortega, Amanda Nicole Hurtado, Bryan Rojero, Jessica Angelica Rojero, Ashley Araceli Ortega, Jazmine Rojero and Sebastian Rojero; 5 great grandchildren; two sisters, Blanca Araceli-Ugarte of El Paso, TX and Vicki Ugarte of Mexico and a brother, Carlos Ugarte of Los Banos, CA.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday September 3, 2025 at Grace Chapel in Littlefield with interment to follow in Littlefield Memorial Park. Viewing will be from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday morning until service time. Arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
