Eva May Johnson

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Eva May Johnson, who departed this world on March 17, 2025, at the age of 63. Born on April 24, 1961, in Aurora, Missouri, Eva lived a life marked by love, dedication, and a fierce commitment to her family, her community, and her faith.
Eva was a beloved mother to her daughter, Shelli Allen, and her son, Corey Johnson. She had a nurturing spirit, known for her warmth and compassion. Eva had a gift for forging connections, remembering every birthday, and important life events, and always being the driving force of family values.
Professionally, Eva served as a dedicated dental assistant, where her caring nature shone brightly. She had a remarkable ability to remember her patients and their stories, treating each individual with the utmost kindness and respect. Her dedication extended beyond the office, guiding her to emphasize the importance of dental care in her personal life making sure that her children and grandchildren understood the importance of dental hygiene.
She enjoyed working in her yard, and Eva found joy in making her outdoor space beautiful. She loved embarking on road trips, playing mini-golf, and spending many afternoons at the batting cages, embodying a spirit of athleticism and zest for life. Her faith was a cornerstone of her existence; she served her church diligently, teaching Sunday school for many years to younger children, and imparting lessons of love and service to God.
Eva is preceded in her passing by her parents, Elijah and Sylvia Killman, and her sister, Diane Emerson. Eva is survived by her children; daughter Shelli Allen and husband Patrick, son Corey Johnson and wife Heather; 5 grandchildren, Joshuah, Israyel, Aubri, Tytus, and Pyper; 4 brothers, Mike Killman, Rick Killman, Dennis Killman, and Dwayne Killman; along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins, and her beloved church family.
Eva's memory will be honored at a series of ceremonies that celebrate her extraordinary life. There will be a memorial visitation on March 21, 2025, at 3:00– 5pm at Greenlawn Funeral Home East, offering family and friends a time to reflect on Eva's profound impact on their lives. Following the visitation, there will be a memorial service at Eva's church, The Experience Church, from 6- 7:30 pm.
Eva May Johnson will be forever remembered for her loving spirit, her unwavering faith, and her joyful contributions not only to her family but to all who were fortunate enough to know her. May her legacy of love and kindness live on in the hearts of many.
