Eva Jordan

Eva Jordan, 91, of Evansville, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 29, 2025, at Bethel Manor surrounded by her loving family. Eva was born on March 27, 1934, in Tell City, Indiana to the late Dewey and Lillian (Turner) Mitchell. She was a member of Forest Hills Baptist Church and had worked at Unique Cleaners for over thirty years before retiring. Surviving Eva are two daughters, Debra Todd and Sandy (Donnie) Riggs; a sister, Billie Johnson; three grandchildren, Donald (Sarah) Riggs, Jeffrey Riggs, and Bobby Todd and two great grandchildren, Michael and Emalie Riggs. In addition to her parents, Eva was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Lawrence Jordan in 2019; by an infant daughter, Jeanie Jordan, and by sisters, Evelyn Lauer, Geneva Wheeler and Rosella Brown. Funeral services for Eva will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Pierre Funeral Home, Rev. Tyrone Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Locust Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Thursday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
