Eva Lakins

Eva Lakins, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and devoted partner to James Lakins, passed away on July 9, 2024, just shy of her 77th birthday.Born on July 15, 1947, Eva was a pillar of strength and resilience throughout her life. Together with her partner James, she built and operated a successful business, embodying dedication and perseverance over 42 years of partnership. Eva was preceded in death by Jimmy Lakins and her brothers, leaving behind nieces and nephews whom she cherished deeply. She leaves behind a legacy of love and determination in her role as a nurturing mother to her children and as a cherished grandmother and great grandmother to her extended family. Her spirit, described as "tough as nails," was matched only by her enduring love and support for those she held dear. Eva will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Rest in peace, Eva Lakins. Your strength and love will continue to inspire us all. Graveside service 11:00 am Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Fielden Funeral Home in New Market.
