Eva Barrett Lott, a beloved holistic healer, ordained minister, devoted advocate of Reiki, has peacefully passed away on August 14, 2024, in her hometown of Temple, Texas.
Born on November 11, 1954, in Temple, Eva was a beacon of light to those who knew her. Throughout her life, she dedicated herself to the healing arts, firmly believing in the transformative power of holistic practices. Her career as a holistic healer and ordained minister was not just a profession, it was a calling she passionately shared with everyone she encountered.
Eva's unyielding spirit and unwavering faith were evident as she faced and triumphed over tremendous adversities, demonstrating a resilience that inspired all who were fortunate enough to witness her strength. Her courage and determination in battling severe illnesses exemplified her deep-rooted belief in the healing capacities of mind, body, and spirit.
Eva held a Bachelor's Degree and was a lifelong learner who eagerly embraced new knowledge and experiences. Her pursuit of continuous growth extended beyond academia; she immersed herself in music, cooking, reading, attending retreats, and actively participating in the Unity Church of Temple, where she found solace and community.
Known for her kind and outgoing nature, Eva touched the lives of many with her spiritual insights and compassionate heart. Her presence radiated warmth and comfort, creating a safe space for others to share their joys and sorrows. Her Christian values and strong sense of spirituality guided her actions and interactions, leaving a lasting impact on those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Among Eva's proudest accomplishments was her ordination and the opportunity to share her profound faith with the world. Her dedication to spreading love, light, and healing embodied her essence, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those she encountered along her journey.
She will be deeply missed by her sisters, Susan Stephenson of Belton, Marjorie "Margie" Boyd of Garland, Leslie Huffman of Temple and many cherished family members and friends.
Eva was welcomed in Heaven by her loving husband, Bobby Lott, her cherished son, Thomas Lott, and her mother Melba Foreman.
Memorial Services for Eva will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Unity Church of Temple located at 318 N 2nd St. Followed by a bereavement meal at Sams Truck & Trailer Repair located at 11303 W State Highway 36, in Temple.
