Eva Annetta Moore, 83, of Mooresville, passed away at home on September 23, 2024. She was born in Connersville, Indiana on September 17, 1941, to the late Richard and Ethelyn (Hamilton) Comingore. Eva graduated from Paoli High School and earned her Master of Education from Indiana State University.
Eva’s selflessness and compassion touched many lives as a 1st-grade teacher. She spent over 30 years at Northwood Elementary School before retiring in 2005. Eva was a long-time member of Mt. Gilead Church. Her faith was strong, and she thoroughly enjoyed Tuesday morning Bible study. Eva’s kindness spread to others by sending encouragement cards to lift people up. She often found joy in working on her flowers in the yard.
In addition to her parents, Eva is preceded in death by her husband whom she married on December 31, 1967, Richard Moore.
Survivors include her daughter, Penny Moore; brother, James Comingore (wife, Julie); sisters, Carol Vance, Charlene Comingore, and Chris Comingore; and her beloved dog, Pugsley.
Eva’s Life Celebration® Visitation and Service will be held on Saturday, September 28th, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville, with the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial in White Lick Cemetery will follow the service. Memorial donations may be made in Eva’s honor to Northwood Elementary School or Mt. Gilead Church.
