Eva L. Parsley Fields, lovingly known as Daisy, departed peacefully to her heavenly home on July 29, 2025, at the age of 92.
Daisy was born on July 20, 1933, to the late Wayne and Rosey Parsley. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lundy C. Fields, and her stepson, David Fields. She was also preceded in death by her siblings: brothers Birdie Parsley, Albert Parsley, and Joseph "Joe" Marcum, and sisters Ethel Johnson, Hazel Dean, and Ora Fields.
Daisy is survived by her sister, Ellen Horn; her children, Ermel R. Marcum, Imogene (Junior) Newsome, Birdie (Mary) Marcum, and Emery Marcum Jr. (Ricky); and her stepchildren, Tonya and Anabelle.
She was a proud grandmother to many, including Donnie Howell, Brian Newsome, Keith Newsome, Josh Newsome, Angie Preece, Brad Newsome, Jeremy Sturgill, Brad Sturgill, Trenton Marcum, Amanda Jo Spaulding, Kaley Marcum, Madison Marcum, Channing Meade, Zack Field, Kaleb Field, Shelby Dick, and Dillon Dick. Daisy also leaves behind 20 great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy.
Daisy was deeply loved by a host of nieces and nephews who held a very special place in her heart.
She will be remembered for her kind spirit, strong faith, and the love she shared so freely with everyone around her.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, August 1, 2025 at the Old Jennie's Creek Church in Kermit, West Virginia with Ken Allen officiating. Burial will follow at the Fitzpatrick Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church on Thursday from 6:00-9:00pm with special services at 7:00pm. Arrangements are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez, KY.
