Eva Prasad

Eva Prasad, 82, passed away on February 21, 2024, with her loved ones by her side. She was born on January 2, 1942, in Motihari, India. Eva grew up in Delhi, where she studied Indian classical music from early childhood. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from IP College in Delhi, and Patna Women’s College. After she married, she and her husband moved to England where their daughters were born. After 15 years the family moved to America, eventually settling in Litchfield, Minnesota in 1981, where she and her husband stayed for the rest of her life.

Eva was well known for her warm heart and boundless generosity, always offering a listening ear and a warm cup of tea. She cared deeply for everyone she met, and her kindness touched the lives of those fortunate enough to know her.

Eva is preceded in death by her parents, H.K. and Sarla Varma, and her brother, Dhirenji. She is survived by Dhanush, her loving husband of 62 years, her two daughters, Lona (Mark) and Anjula (Marlowe), her siblings, Savita, Anita, Prakash and Rajesh, and countless adoring family members, friends, and pets. She will be indescribably missed by all.

A service in honor of Eva will be held at the First Lutheran Church in Litchfield, MN at 11:00 AM on March 2, 2024. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Parkinson’s Foundation. Her memory lives on in our hearts forever.
