It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Eva Glenna (Burr) Rath on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at the age of 91 years.
Eva will be lovingly remembered by her six sons and their spouses. She was a loving and cherished grandmother to her 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her three siblings and was predeceased by her husband (Adam) of 47 years and their daughter Cheryl.
As Eva goes on to another life, she also leaves behind her family and many fond friends. She worked for many years in the oil and gas industry as well as the banking industry, specifically retiring from the Scotiabank. Her personal life revolved around her immediate family where she consistently attended sporting events and school programs for her sons and family members. Eva was known for her loving acceptance of those who came into her life. The missionaries who would visit her home always left knowing her compassion and appreciation for their devotion to their missions. Eva never complained about anything. She would never share her personal needs or concerns for her own tribulations in life and always cared more for the well-being of others.
Eva will be remembered as the epitome of a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her unwavering faith and belief in her Saviour gave her strength throughout her life.
The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 10923 - 24 Street S.W., Calgary, on Friday, September 19, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Queen’s Park Cemetery.
