Eva M. Roth SOMERSET

Mrs. Eva M. Roth, 79, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 18, 2009, in Hillsborough, New Jersey, at the home of her daughter, Cindy.

Born in Nethers, Virginia, Mrs. Roth lived in Somerset since 1953. She was employed by Takara-Belmont in the accounts receivable department for 28 years. She was a devoted member of the United Methodist Church of Bound Brook, and a member of the Millstone Valley Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Eva loved spending time with her family. She maintained a home in Etlan, Virginia, and cherished her vacations and family reunions there. Eva enjoyed an occasional trip to the Atlantic City Casinos and family card games.

Mrs. Roth is survived by her husband of 56 years, Chester H. Roth Jr.; her sons, Chester III and Jeffrey; her daughter, Cindy Ortu and her husband, Joe; her beloved grandchildren, Jeffrey, Melissa and Nicole Roth and Frank, Joe, Christina and Andrea Ortu. She is also survived by her sister, Eleanor Jenkins of Etlan, Virginia; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 5 p.m. Saturday, August 22, 2009, at the Hillsborough Funeral Home, 796 Rt. 206, Hillsborough. Visiting will be prior from 2 until 5 p.m.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, August 23, 2009, at Etlan Cemetery in Etlan, Virginia.

In lieu of flowers to the funeral home, Eva requested you send flowers to someone you love.

Bob and I are so sorry for your loss. I'm certain you have some wonderful family memories and those are what you cling to and cherish. How wonderful that you both showed your love and cared for her.
