Eva M. Staton, age 46 of Troy, Ohio passed away on January 1, 2025. She was born November 10, 1978 in Dayton, Ohio daughter of David and Wanda (Hatmaker) Rich.
She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Michael Staton; sons, Brack Michael Staton, Britton Shane Staton, and Breysen Charles Staton; step-daughter, Alysha Danielle Staton; parents, David and Wanda Rich; brother, David Shane (Amber) Rich; cousin, Dr. Jaime Ewald; nephews, David Chase Rich and Alex Bandy; niece, Kaly Jones; best friend, Misty Oliver; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Eva was a devoted wife, loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved Tennessee Volunteers Football and Columbus Blue Jackets Hockey. She enjoyed talking about books with Alysha, watching Brack play and coach football, picking out different types of rocks with Britton, and watching Breysen play varsity hockey. Eva will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025 from 9:30am-10:30am at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424. A Funeral Service will begin at 10:30am. Burial to follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Eva's honor to the American Kidney Foundation.(kidneyfund.org).
