Mr. Evan Boyd Cain, 93, of Fayetteville, NC Grays Creek Community, went to be with the lord on October 14th, 2025.
Friends and family knew him as Boyd. He was a veteran and served four years in the United States Navy. He was awarded with the National Defense Service Medal and United Nations Service Medal. Boyd was also a farmer following his time in the Navy.
Boyd was preceded in death by his parents, Marion Franklin Cain and Sadie (Sallie) Ann Boyd; brothers Frank Cain, Donald Cain, Terry Cain, Sam Cain; and sisters Cathy Atkinson and Jewell Bryant.
He is survived by his devoted wife Corenna Cain; sons, Matthew Boyd Cain (Robin) and Jonathan Evan Cain (Mae); grandchildren, Haily Lynn Cain and Andrew Cain; great-grandchildren, Nova Joy Wong-Den; step grandchildren, Lizzie Naylor (Josh), Mary Howell, Ashley Marable (Josh), and Asia Young (Lee); brothers, Jack Cain and Harry Cain; sister, Marian Francis Canady; along with a host of extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM on Monday, October 20, 2025 at Marvin United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM with Rev. Mike Williams officiating.
Burial will follow at the Marvin United Methodist Church Cemetery.
