Evan Dempsey

Evan Dempsey, age 24 of West Carrollton, passed away Monday, March 25, 2024. He was born September 28, 1999 in Dayton, Ohio the son of James and Colleen Dempsey.
Twenty-four years is just not long enough, but then no amount of time would be. Evan Dempsey made his mark on everyone who crossed his path. In his short time his gentle and kind demeaner brightened so many of our days. With sparkle in his wide eyes, a smile that spread across his whole face, and dimples that would melt your heart, he was always willing to help a friend. Evan brought laughter to the world and so much joy to those blessed enough to call him family. Leaving the world too soon, a deep profound loss has been left in the wake. We mourn for what was and feel honored for the time we had. His infectious laugh will echo in our hearts until we are together again.
Evan leaves behind his devoted loving mother Colleen O'Dee and father Jim Dempsey; his older brother Chase Dempsey and sister-in-law Brianna Dempsey along with his nieces and nephews Aleigha, Jackson, Paisley, and Levi; maternal grandparents James and Susan O'Dee; aunt Kathy O'Dee; uncle James and aunt Lisa O'Dee; uncle Christopher and aunt Vanessa O'Dee; aunt Melinda and uncle Ken Mendenhall; uncle Chance Collier; his cousins, Scott and Shannon Leo (their children Austin, Madison, Joslyn, and Kensington Leo) and other cousins James O'Dee, Zuri O'Dee, and Avieana O'Dee.
Evan is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents James P. Dempsey Sr. and Eleanore Jean Collier; aunt Stacy L. McCleskey; and cousins Cory Mendenhall, Stephanie Smith, and Bella Mendenhall.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Kettering Chapel. Funeral Service will be officiated at 7:00 pm with Pastor Joel Getts following visitation.
