Christopher Dempsey

Christopher Dempsey, 70, of Albrightsville, PA, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at St. Luke's Hospice House, Bethlehem, PA.

He was the loving husband of Anna (Mielczarek) Dempsey. They were together for 43 years and were married on June 25, 1988, celebrating 37 wonderful years of marriage.

Born on November 19, 1955, in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Vincent Dempsey and the late Ethel (DeCanio) Dempsey.

Christopher worked as a machinist for Domino Sugar for thirty five years and later worked for SCIU Local 74 in New York for fifteen years until his retirement in 2021. Christopher loved fixing and working on cars, and collecting Hess trucks and Lionel trains. He enjoyed the outdoors cutting the grass on his tractor and loved BBQing and making an assortment of good food for his friends and family. He loved his family and was truly a wonderful person to everyone who knew him. Most of all, he was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, and friend. Christopher will be deeply missed by all his friends and family.

In addition to his wife, Anna, he is survived by his son, Mark Bigam and his wife Kelly; his granddaughter, Hailey Bigam; his brother, Kevin Dempsey and his wife Laura; his niece, Allana Lodico and her husband Larry; his nephew, Adam Hulsen and his wife Jean; four grandnieces, Sophia, Lilah, Ariela, Bella; and two sisters-in-law, Bernice Kudrycki and her husband John, and Elizabeth Hulsen.

A viewing will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday March 10, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville, PA 18322. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at 12:00 PM with Father Robert Simon officiating. Cremation will follow the service in H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.
