IFFERT, Evan
Age 80 of Horseheads, NY. He was born April 24, 1941 in Scranton, PA, son of the late Ellsworth and Charlotte Palmer, and adoptive parents Elmer and Lois Iffert, he passed away January 25, 2022. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter Michelle Ann in 1967. Evan is survived by his wife of 59 years, Florence (Bliss) Iffert; daughters Terry Lynn Iffert, Lisa Iffert (Brian) Smith, Renee Iffert (David) Sweezy; son Ricky D. (Lisa) Iffert; 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
He graduated from Elks Lake High school in 1959. He was member of the best fighting force, The United States Marine Corps. He retired from injuries while on duty. He drove trucks for a short period of time before working at Willow Creek Golf Club from 1978-2018. He worked for Bob Adams, the best boss in the world. He had the best wife and it only got better. His kids have been the best with his wife and himself. He had a great life with no regrets. The only thing he would have done better is to watch his health and get yearly checks ups for things that can go wrong.
Private services will be held with his family. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may donate to;
