In loving memory of Evangeline Grace Baca, 89, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who passed away peacefully in her home on June 16, 2025. She was born to Willie and Lucy Garcia, August 12, 1935, in Denver, Colorado. She called Albuquerque, New Mexico her home, where she worked as a bartender, while attending college to obtain her degree in Education. She worked for Albuquerque Public School from 1990 to 2005, where she taught special education at Madison Middle School and educated many students in Math and English at Manzano High School. Evangeline "Vangie" was well known for her hard work ethic, unwavering love for her sons, and family. Her life was a testament to true integrity, grace, and daily devotion to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The family finds solace in knowing she is now resting in his arms. She was preceded in death by her husband, Esau Baca, her son, Theodore Raymond Casaus, and brother, Alfonso. She is survived by her sons, Larry Casaus, James Casaus, Jerry Casaus, Gene Casaus, Michael Baca, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her cousin, Maryann and many more cousins and friends. Our memories with her will forever be treasured.
Please join us at FRENCH- Lomas: Visitation and Viewing will be held Tuesday, July 1, 2025 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.
"Celebration of Life", will be held, Wednesday, July 2, 2025 from 10:00AM to 11:00 AM.
All attendees are welcome to meet the family at the Santa Fe National Cemetery for burial, at 1:00PM, following the service.
*Upon arrival at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, please park on the left lane and allow space for the hearse transporting our loved one. Thank you and safe travels.
