Evangeline Quinn, 54, of Marseilles, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2025 at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Ottawa.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 6, from 10:00am until 1:00pm at Ottawa Funeral Home. A funeral ceremony will follow at 1:00pm with Fr. Ryan mattingly officiating. Cremation rites have been entrusted to Ottawa Funeral Home.
Evangeline was born June 14, 1971 to Eugenio and Marietta (Mejin) Javier in the Philippines. She married James "Jim" Quinn on June 18, 2000 in Las Vegas, NV.
She worked as an administrative assistant for Dr. Dan Hilo for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed baking breads and cookies, traveling to Florida and Hawaii, and decorating their home for the Holidays, especially Thanksgiving, where she was always the host. More than anything, the light of her life was being a mom. She loved her daughter more than life itself.
She is survived by her husband, Jim; her daughter, Shaylen Quinn; her mother, Marietta Javier; her sister, Emeliza Fronda; her aunt, Cathy Casilla-Grossman; as well as numerous extended family members.
She is preceded in death by her father, Eugenio.
Memorial contributions in her honor may be directed to the Edward's Hospital Cancer Center at https://www.endeavorhealth.org/give/foundations/edward-hospital-foundation
