Evelene "Curtsinger" Wall

Evelene Curtsinger Wall, age 87, of Louisville, KY formerly of Washington County, passed away at 10:43 a.m., Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at the Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville.

A native of Washington County, she was born on July 18, 1938 to the late Clell C. and Lena Mae Settles Curtsinger.

She attended New Life Church in Louisville and was a homemaker.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Sherman Ray Wall on November 29, 2020; three sisters, Mary Ruth Curtsinger on Sept. 16, 1934, Iva Jewell Walls on Sept. 19, 2016 and Edith Votaw on Oct. 24, 2016 and three brothers, Rollin Curtsinger on Sept. 14, 1989, Davis Curtsinger on Nov. 17, 2000 and Melvin Curtsinger on Dec. 30, 2021.

Survivors include seven daughters, Diane Chaney (Patrick) of Louisville, Kathy Elstone of Hodgenville, Angela Wall and Star Chandler (Allen) of Louisville, Hope Swisher of Taylorsville, Bonnie Sweasy (Rick Stewart) and Robin Garmon of Louisville; twenty-five grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 21st at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Dr. Carroll Parish, officiating.

Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery in Springfield.

Serving as pallbearers will be Troy Sweasy, Dillan Hamilton, Joseph Wall, Brandon Garmon, Noah Garmon, Stewart Elstone, Casden Stewart, Jeffrey Elstone, Martin Elstone, Justin Swisher, Clint Allgeier and Juan Estrada.

Visitation will be from 2 until 7 Friday, March 20th at the Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville and on Saturday from 10:00 until 1:00 at Carey & Son Funeral Home, 216 East Main Street, Springfield, KY.
