Evelyn Barbara Coats, 74, of Cane Hill, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord December 9, 2024 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born October 9, 1950, in Holly Grove, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Price and Litty Christian Cooper. She had worked as Office Manager for the Helena Country Club and was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, motor cycle riding, baking and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved to run trotlines and walk the bay bank collecting bottles when the water was low. In addition to her parents, she is preceded by her sister, Margaret.
She is survived by her husband, Andrew Coats, of the home; two sons: Shan Coats and Mary Jane of Hot Springs, Arkansas and Chad Coats and Charli of Fayetteville, Arkansas; two brothers: Bobby Cooper and Debbie of Locust Grove, Oklahoma and Albert Cooper and Nancy of Pyror, Oklahoma; a sister-in-law, Janice Spakes; three grandchildren: Michael Coats and Lyndsey, Drew Coats and Scooter and S.J. Coats; and four great grandchildren: Kynlee Grace, Kori Klaire, Ashton Brooke and Blair Michael
A Memorial Service will be at a later date. No visitation is scheduled. Cremation was under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Avenue, Springdale. Arkansas 72762.
