Evelyn June Harel
Evelyn June Harel, 98, of Chippewa Falls, died peacefully at home with her family by her side under the care of Mayo Home Health and Hospice on Thursday, May 30, 2024.
On June 26, 1925, Evelyn was born to Ralph and Alilda (Herberg) Kampf in Chippewa Falls. She graduated from Chippewa High School with the class of 1943. Later, she became a Nurses Aide working many years at the Northern Colony in Chippewa Falls. Evelyn was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Chippewa Falls, as well as a member of the Heyde Center for Arts. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing and pottery. She was a kind and caring mother and grandmother that will be missed by all who knew her.
Evelyn is survived by her children: Ronald (Carol) Harel, Kenneth Harel, Lorraine (Mark) Eslinger, Barbara (Dan) Fransway, Renae Harel, David (Chris) Harel, and Teresa Harel; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and son-in-law, Gary Freeman. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews that she cared for so much.
She was preceded in death by her parents; children: Louise Freeman, Daniel Harel and in infancy, Louis Harel; and brothers: Donald and Raymond Kampf.
The visitation will be from 11am to 1 pm, on Tuesday, June 11, at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, 44 E. Columbia St., Chippewa Falls, with a time of reflection beginning at 1pm. A private interment will be in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Cadott, WI, at a later date.
