Charlotte, North Carolina - Mrs. Evelyn Greene Jones, 91, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2026.
Born October 20, 1934, in Watauga County, she was a devoted Baptist who loved giving to others and supporting Samaritan's Purse and the Billy Graham Library. She cherished time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Cecil Jones; her son, Oren William Jones; and her brothers, Bradley Steven McNeil, Sr. and Richard "Bryce" Greene.
Survivors include her daughter, Suzanne Jones; sister, Jill Rogers; grandchildren, James Stewart and Amanda Lawson (Dennis Lawson); and great-grandson, Oren Renfrow Lawson.
Visitation will be Friday, April 3, 2026, from 10:00–11:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, followed by the funeral at 11:00 a.m. Private burial will follow Saturday at Mountlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Levine & Dickson Hospice House at Aldersgate.
