Evelyn Elise Plumb Kidd

Evelyn Elise Plumb Kidd, a fifth generation Austinite and seventh generation Texan. Mrs. Kidd was born September 22, 1928, at Brackenridge Hospital and passed away November 18 2017. She was a 1945 graduate of Stephen F. Austin High School and received her BBA degree with highest honors from the University of Texas at Austin in 1949. Directly from college she was employed by Humble Oil & Refining Co. Mrs. Kidd was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, a Life Member of the Ex-Students Association of the University of Texas, William B. Travis Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, Albert Sidney Johnson Chapter, United Daughters of the Confederacy, and the Hancock and Hyde Park Neighborhood Associations. She loved her "Corner of Austin". She was preceded in death by her husband Pat Henry Kidd, Jr., of Tyler, where she lived during his lifetime, her parents Mr. and Mrs. Maurice W. Plumb of Austin; her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. W.T. Plumb of Austin, and Dr. and Mrs. J.M. Puckett of Hainesville and Mineola, and her son Morris P. Kidd of Austin. She is survived by her daughter Madelyn Ann Kidd, sister-in-law Mary Ann Kidd McKinney and her husband Dr. G. L. McKinney of Wharton and many very dear cousins.
