Evelyn Mize (81) of Ward, Arkansas was born on September 12, 1943, in Rohwer, Arkansas. She peacefully passed away on May 15, 2025.
She was preceded in death by her father Theodore Moore, mother Dorothy Moore and brother Frank “Shorty” Moore.
Evelyn is survived by her husband of 64 years, Richard Mize of Ward, Arkansas; daughter Rhonda Wesner (Keith) of Romance, Arkansas; her son Keith Mize (Cindy) of Dardanelle, Arkansas; her grandchildren, Blake Wyles (Erin), Kristen Schisler (Dalton), Justin Wyles, Talen Wesner, Chris Wesner, Shaunacie Lewis (Harley), Jesse Roper (Georgia Singleton), Dalton Mize (Mya Thomas); and Dawson Mize; great grandchildren, Brady, Madi, Swaide, Katch and Haze; sisters, Sandra Inman (Jim), Nancy Smith and Elizabeth Bisbee; and her brother James Moore (Jimmeye). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Evelyn had an in-home daycare for over 25 years. She loved all of the kids like her own. She loved spending time with her family. but her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy.
We would like to thank Greystone Nursing & Rehab in Cabot; she loved her few months there and really loved going to physical therapy. Also, thank you to Arkansas Hospice for being there for her family in her final hours.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday May 27th, 2025, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, 404 W. Dewitt Henry Dr. Beebe, Arkansas.
