Evelyn Roose Obituary
Evelyn Roose, 95, of Gregory, MI, formerly of Mancelona and Yale, MI, passed away on September 24, 2025.
She was born on December 16, 1929 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada the daughter of James and Catherine (McKinley) McCaskill.
Evelyn was a long time member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Mancelona and was an active member of the Mancelona Baby Pantry. She was also a long time member of Sacred Heart Church in Yale, as well as St. Mary's of the Woods church in Kalkaska, MI.
She loved spending time with her family, traveling and crocheting.
Surviving are her children, Tina Parrish, Jerry (Margie) Koehn, Steve (Mary Ann) Roose, Dan Roose, Michelle Olson, Renee Szobonya, Christine Roose, Rich Roose, and Chuck (Marion) Roose. Also surviving are 23 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her first husband, Gerald Koehn, second husband Henry Roose, daughter JoAnn Miller, son Jim Koehn, daughter-in-law Audrey Roose and her parents.
Graveside services will take place on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Cemetery, Barker Creek.
