Evelyn Ruston Obituary
Jean graduated from Central High School. She was a member of Bethel United Church of Christ and enjoyed playing in a Clabber Club with her friends from high school. She treasured the time she spent with her family.
Jean is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Ruston) Harrison; grandchildren, Jamie (Ethan) (East) Calvert, Matthew (Leysa) Stallings and Julie (Corey) (East) Minnette; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, John W. "Jack" Ruston; daughter and son-in-law, Pamela Sue (Ruston) and Rich Stallings; son-in-law, Keith Harrison; and sister, Kathryn (Stricker) Husk.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 30, 2025 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville. A Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Steve Seitz officiating.
Entombment will be at Oak Hill Mausoleum.
Memorial contributions may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice, 610 E. Walnut Street, Evansville, IN 47713.
The family expresses their gratitude to the staff of Cypress Grove Rehabilitation Center and Heart to Heart Hospice for their kind and compassionate care of Jean.
