Evelyn E. Turro

Our loving mother Evelyn E. Turro, age 87, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at Lightways Hospice Home, Joliet with her loving family at her side.
Survived by her husband of 62 years, John M. Turro; children, Jeffrey (Karin) Turro, David Turro, and Brian (Christine) Turro; granddaughter, Hannah Turro; brother, Eldon Triezenberg; sisters-in-law, Joanne Triezenberg, Karen Triezenberg, Jeanie Triezenberg and Karen Triezenberg Numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents, Frank, and Sarah (nee Kette) Triezenberg; sister and brother-in-law Stella "Babe" and Ron Scholten; brothers, Frank Triezenberg, Michael Triezenberg, Robert Triezenberg; brothers and sisters-in-law, Fred and Sarah Triezenberg, and Ronald and Francine Triezenberg.
Evelyn was a Member of Downers Grove Community Church, A Reformed Church of America. She enjoyed reading, making ceramics, painting and cooking. Evelyn was a natural born mother. She was instrumental in helping raise her own siblings and went on to raise her own beautiful family. Mom was always there with kind words and love to help anyone who came to her with their troubles. She was considered one of the best mother-in-law's someone could ever ask for. Forever in our hearts, she holds a place no one will ever fill.
