Evelyn Marie Williams

Evelyn Marie Bettis Williams, also known as Mama. Mommo, Ma, Aunt Evelyn, sister and friend, was welcomed into heaven on November 29, 2025.

"Our mama loved the Lord, laughter, and family. Her home was always filled with the scent of homemade cinnamon rolls, the sounds of children playing, and the feeling of her warmth and joy."

As the seventh of twelve children, she never wanted to be the center of attention but lived her life quietly doing good. Her daughters, Carol Henderson, Martha Hynson (Paul), and Beverly Dillard (Tim) will always remember a happy childhood that included bedtime Bible stories and paper dolls cut from the pages of the Sears Roebuck catalog. Her grandchildren, Jennifer Kilpatrick (David), Jaynee Edgeworth, Mary Beth Laflin (Matt), Seth Hynson, Deborah Grindle, Alyssa Owens , Ally Mobley (Brett), and Madison Dillard will cherish memories of living their best life at Mommo's house where they never heard the word no. Her legacy of love continues through nineteen great-grandchildren. She will be missed by sisters, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Surrounded by her loved ones who preceded her in death, husband, Bob Williams, parents, Ralph and Minnie Bettis, sisters, brothers, and one precious great-granddaughter, she is now hearing the words, "Well done, good and faithful servant." While she waits for us in heaven, a part of her lives on in each of us through the love and joy she shared.

Services will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at 11 o'clock in the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Parrott Funeral Home and Crematory.
