Joyce Conner Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Parrott Funeral Home & Crematory on Dec. 3, 2025.
Joyce Allen Conner passed away on December 3, 2025. Born on January 20, 1929, she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose kindness and warmth touched all who knew her.

Joyce was a devoted member of Fairburn United Methodist Church, where she found a spiritual home and a close-knit community that supported her throughout her life. Her faith was a guiding light, and she cherished the friendships she made within her church family.

Her passions were many, but she was particularly fond of baking and crocheting, spending countless hours perfecting recipes and creating beautiful handmade items that will be treasured by her family for generations.

She is preceded in death by parents Grant and Elsie Allen; her husbands, William Noal Conner and Grady Lee Maffett, whom she loved dearly and spoke of often with fond remembrance.

Left to honor her memory are her daughters, Nancy Ross and her husband Greg, and Carolyn Conner. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Daniel Ross and his wife Nicole, and Stephanie Plemmons and her husband Tyler. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Brayden Plemmons, Maeve Ross, and Carson Plemmons, who brought her immense joy and pride.

A graveside service to celebrate Joyce's life will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 11 o'clock at Crest Lawn Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to gather to remember and honor a life well-lived.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Azalea Estates for the compassionate care provided to Mrs. Conner in her final years. Their kindness and dedication were a source of comfort to both Joyce and her family.
