Mrs. Ever Jean Simms

Mrs. Ever Jean Simms, age 77, of Peoria, IL, passed away at 5:32 pm on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her family.
Ever Jean was born on September 7, 1944 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Bertha Gary and raised by Bertha and Joe Robinson. She married Willie Simms, III. They were married for over 50 years prior to his death on August 12, 2017.
Ever Jean was employed by Sears as a clerk and cashier. Ever Jean was always doing yard work especially with her husband and sons. She loved gardening, planting flowers, cooking and watching TV. She was a faithful member of Cornerstone Gospel Church.
Ever Jean leaves to cherish her most precious memories three sons, Terrence "Terry" Simms, Bernard "Randy" Simms and Sean Simms, Sr., all of Peoria, IL; two step daughters, Kathy Simms and Cheryl Simms Wright both of Memphis, TN; one brother, Nathan Gary of Memphis, TN; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends who loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and one daughter, Velvet Cranford.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Simons Mortuary with a visitation beginning at 10 am. Pastor Frances Kenon will officiate. Ever Jean will be laid to rest at Parkview Cemetery beside her husband.
