Everett M Mize, 75, of Oxford, passed away on Friday, March 07, 2025, at Shepard Hospice in Southaven, Mississippi.
The family, in deep respect for Everett's wishes, has decided to mourn his passing privately, finding comfort in their shared love for him.
Everett was welcomed into this world on October 27, 1949, as one of the three children born to the late Jimmy Everett Mize and Melba Elaine Lancaster Mize.
Everett was a dedicated general contractor who provided for his family with passion and hard work. His expertise in construction allowed him to build not only structures but also a solid foundation for his loved ones. In addition to his successful career, Everett was a talented musician. He skillfully played guitar across genres like country folk and rock-n-roll. His music was a source of joy for many and reflected his vibrant spirit. He was also a master woodworker, creating beautiful furniture pieces that showcased his craftsmanship. Everett's heart of gold shone through in everything he did. He consistently dedicated himself to helping friends and family. Above all of his hobbies and interests, Everett loved the Lord deeply, a love that inspired him as he walked the mountaintops and valleys of life.
His legacy of love, creativity, and unwavering support will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
Everett leaves behind a loving family to continue walking the path of life in his absence: two sons, Charles Mize and his wife Brooke of Oxford and Harbor Mize of Oxford; one sister, Lane Mize Martin and her husband Larry of Oxford; and a host of beloved family and friends.
The loved ones who departed from this life before him include his father and mother, Jimmy Everett Mize and Melba Elaine Lancaster Mize, and one sister, Sharon Mize McDonald.
