Everette Eugene Rich was born in Dothan, Alabama on March 8, 1953, to his parents, Evelyn and Joe Willie Rich.
He received his education at Hazard Elementary School and Miami Jackson Senior High School.
He later met and married Edwina Foster-Rich on February 4, 1985, in Miami, Florida. From this union they were blessed with two sons, Luther Rich and Lamar Johnson.
Everett worked almost 30 years as a Newspaper Press Operator for the Miami Herald.
He departed this life on Friday, November 22, 2024, and was preceded in death by: his son, Lamar Johnson; and mother, Evelyn Rich-Hayes;
Everett leaves to mourn his passing: wife, Edwina Foster-Rich; son, Luther Rich; three sisters, Maegonia, Gwen, and Josephine; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins; and a host of other relatives and friends.

It is hard to accept that you are no longer here. My heart aches with the pain of your absence. However, I take comfort in knowing that you are in a better place alongside Grandma and cousin Lamont. Though you are gone, you will always be remembered. Rest in peace, Uncle Eugene.
