Gone Too Soon……

Everett Duan Winborn, 56, was born January 24, 1969, in Gary, IN. He was a proud graduate of West Side High School where he made life-long friends. Everett maintained close ties with many of his classmates throughout the years and often attended alumni functions.

Shortly after graduation, Everett began working for the city of Gary. For more than 30years, he was a loyal and dedicated employee of the Gary City Clerk's Office. Everett served in several capacities for the Gary City Clerk during his many years of service until his retirement in 2021.

Not long after retirement, Everett relocated to Florida and quickly embraced the sunshine state. He joined Alive Church in Orlando, where his outgoing nature and love for conversation made him a welcome presence. Everett was known for his kind heart and left an impression on everyone he met. He loved music and didn't hesitate to sing and show off his dance moves when an opportunity presented itself. Everett was special to so many and will be truly missed.

Everett was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Tracy Winborn, son, Jadeen Winborn, sister, Carolyn Johnson, father, Riley Winborn, and stepfather, Nathaniel Coleman.

Everett is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Jordynn Winborn, his mother, Berthena Coleman, brothers Leonard Winborn (Stephanie), and Richard Coleman, all of Davenport, FL, brother Albert Proctor (Tanya) of Greensboro, GA, step-daughter, Lauren Dickerson of Gary, IN, a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews, as well as many longtime friends.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 12:00 pm followed by a funeral service at 1:00 pm all at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City. Final resting place will be Forest Hill Cemetery in Haines City.
