Everine Brooks

Everine “Sappy” Parsons Brooks, 94, passed away peacefully surrounded by family March 10, 2026, after a short time in Hospice Care.

A native of North Wilkesboro, NC, Mrs. Everine Parsons Brooks, affectionately known as “Sappy” to family and friends, was the daughter of the late Everette Parsons and Rosa Lee Owens Parsons. She was a member of Old Path Community Church, Rock Hill, SC. She retired from Jeff Boyd Chrysler Dodge and was an avid reader. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 56 years, Luther Brooks, and her grandson, Michael Andrew “Andy” Brooks. Sappy had seven brothers and five sisters of which one brother, Bud (Annette) and one sister, Susie Roberts survives her.

.Everine “Sappy” is survived by two sons, Michael L Brooks (Iris); Bobby Ray Brooks (Mary Ann); Granddaughter, Karen Brooks Greene (Pete); two grandsons, Joshua Brooks (Jessica), Joel Brooks (Kristen), 6 Great Grandsons, and 4 Great Granddaughters. 

Donations may be made to the Old Path Community Church in lieu of flowers in Sappy’s memory.

Graveside services will be held Monday, March 16, 2026, 2PM at Forest Hills Cemetery in Rock Hill, SC.
