Graveside funeral services for Everritt Norman Williams will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at Welcome Home Cemetery, Grayson, Louisiana, with Bro. Denva McBroom officiating. The family will have visitation on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at Riser Funeral Home, Olla, Louisiana, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
Everritt Norman Williams was born July 16, 1947 in Olla, Louisiana to the union of his parents, Bennie Odel Williams and Cerilda "Sissy" Everritt Williams, and he passed from this life on December 30, 2024, after a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Bennie Oliver Williams and James Kennan "Jerby" Williams; and a sister, Glenda Allen.
Everritt worked most of his life in the oilfields of Tullos and Olla, LA, where he retired with Petro-Hunt Corp. He was a devoted husband, father ,and friend. He enjoyed gardening, traveling, food, and music. He enjoyed playing music shows for the visiting children at the Martin Homeplace Museum in Columbia, LA, where they enjoyed the sweet sound of the Mountain Dulcimer. Everritt was a veteran of the U.S. Army, as a Specialist in the Signal Corps, serving in New York and Germany.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 47 years, Anna McKee Williams; sons: Matt Williams (Rhonda), Jesse Williams, J. D. Arthurs (Carla), and Lance Arthurs, Jr. (Sherri); brother, David Williams (Mary); grandchildren: Matt Williams, Jr., Spencer Williams, Colton Williams, Kayleigh Arthurs, and Macie Arthurs; numerous nieces and nephews, as well as, a host of lady friend volunteers at the Martin Homeplace Museum.
