Evy Deloris Turman

Evy Deloris Turman, age 83, of Greenville, Mississippi, peacefully entered the presence of her Lord and Savior on August 1, 2025.
Born on September 19, 1941, in Leland, Mississippi, to Doyle Oswalt and Margaret Moore, Deloris was a woman of deep Christian faith, unwavering love for her family, and a lifelong commitment to helping others feel their best - inside and out.
A graduate of Delta Beauty College, she served as a beautician for over sixty years, using her God-given talents to uplift and encourage others through her work. Her clients became lifelong friends, drawn not only by her skill, but by her warmth, kindness, and generous spirit.
Deloris was a faithful member of Temple Baptist Church for over 40 years, where she found great joy in teaching the youth group and mentoring young hearts in their walk with Christ. Her legacy of faith lives on in the many lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas Edward Turman, and her beloved sister and best friend, Julia Prine.
Deloris is survived by her two daughters, Lisa Wanker (Bruce) and Cindy Turner (Perry); her sister, Linda Watkins; 6 grandchildren - Crystal Tatum (Jermaine), Destin Westmoreland (Brandon), Ashley Hairston (Bubba), Ed Morgan (Tammy), Doyle Morgan (Mindy), and Wayne Wanker (Brittany); and 8 great-grandchildren - Faith Tatum, Edward Tatum, Brayden Smith, McCarty Grubb, Axton Westmoreland, Aimree Westmoreland, Owen Wanker, and Riley Morgan. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members who loved her dearly.
Funeral services will be held on Monday August 4, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Mortimer Funeral Home, with Brother Arthur Scott officiating. Visitation will take place from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Pallbearers will be Wayne Wanker, Doyle Morgan, Ed Morgan, Brayden Smith, and Axton Westmoreland. Honorary pallbearer is Jermaine Tatum. Donations in honor of Deloris Turman may be made to Temple Baptist Church.
