Frederick Allen McGlasson, 76, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, completed his earthly journey on December 9, 2025, in Oklahoma City. He was born July 29, 1949, in Winfield, Kansas, the son of John Frederick and Twyla Marie (Shanks) McGlasson.

Allen spent his grade school years in the Blackwell, Oklahoma, public school system and later attended Putnam, Oklahoma Public Schools, where he received his high school education. During those years, he developed a love for basketball, a sport he enjoyed playing and remained an enthusiastic fan of throughout his life. Following graduation, Allen attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, Oklahoma, where he earned his bachelor's degree.

After college, Allen moved to Oklahoma City. On November 8, 1980, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Marilyn Lewayne Kenney. Their marriage was marked by deep love, devoted companionship, and shared values that guided their life together.

At the age of 32, Allen was baptized and became a dedicated member of Church of the Servant in Oklahoma City, where he cherished the fellowship and faithfully served as a Sunday School attendant. He devoted 26 years of service to the United States Postal Service as an on-foot letter carrier and was a proud member of the National Association of Letter Carriers. In retirement and beyond, he enjoyed fellowship and travel through the Putnam City Retirees Travel Club and the First Bank of Perry Travel Club.

Allen found joy in bowling, square dancing, and helping others in need, particularly through his involvement with the letter carriers' food drive. Known for his kindness, steady faith, and willingness to serve, he left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Marie McGlasson; his beloved wife, Marilyn McGlasson; a nephew, Lane Liga; and other loved ones.

Allen is survived by his brother, Bill McGlasson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his sister-in-law, Sherry Liga of Edmond, Oklahoma; his niece, Lindsay Liga White; other relatives; and many friends who will cherish his memory.
