Faith Marie McGehee

Faith Marie McGehee, age 67, of Walker, Louisiana, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family after a short battle with cancer on November 19, 2025. Our world will never be the same with her absence. Faith was a lovely wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, sister-cousin, and friend. Born May 20, 1958, she grew up in French Settlement, where she attended school and became an avid barrel racer. Faith worked in retail management for many years, including at Walmart and Dollar General. For the last 15 years she and her cousin Nin operated a cleaning business where they made friends who became family for life. Faith will be remembered as the embodiment of kindness and selflessness, always helping others. She made every moment, every occasion, and every person special, no matter who you were; in Faith's home you were family. Faith was especially fond of the holidays; well known for her homemade candy and beautifully decorated home. No adventure was too large or too small for her, especially when it included custom matching t shirts, be it a beach trip, an Elvis tribute, or just traveling to visit friends.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Richard McGehee; father, Glen Dykes; daughters, Jessica Comeaux (Kyle) and Erin Sicard (Gerald); sisters, Lynn Grant (Jeff) and Lisa Stoltz (Roger); grandchildren, London, Laken, Mckenzie, Spencer, and Bella; niece, Jaelyn; nephews, Caden, Carson, Mason, and Drew; great-nephew, Isaiah; and numerous other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Carleen Dykes; grandparents Louis and Mary Ann Major; and in-laws C.R. and Billie Jo McGehee.

Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, located at 7738 Florida Blvd, Denham Springs, LA 70726, on Saturday, November 29, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and a Memorial Service starting at 12:00 PM.
