Fannie Boober (Levenson), 95, formerly of North Kingstown, passed away peacefully Thursday, November 18, 2010. She was the wife of the late Lawrence C. Boober.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Sarah Levenson.
Mrs. Boober was a member of the North Kingstown Beechwood Senior Center, American Legion Auxiliary, Fleet Reserve Ladies Auxiliary and the Sub Veterans of WWII Auxiliary. She enjoyed knitting, bowling and line-dancing, and was a volunteer at the Newport Naval Medical Center Pharmacy. She enjoyed attending the First Baptist Church in Wickford.
She leaves two sons, Walter H. Boober of Newport and Richard N. Boober of Cranston; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandsons. She was the sister of the late Sol Levenson, Lillian Binder and Esther Jonath.
Her Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at 10am in the FAGAN-QUINN Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown. Burial will be in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Monday 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Down Syndrome Society of RI, 99 Bald Hill Road, Cranston, RI 02920 will be appreciated.
