With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Fanny Lee Leonard, who left this world on her 76th birthday, November 9, 2025. Born in Morgan City, Louisiana, on November 9, 1949, Fanny spent her life weaving her love for family and passion for crafts into the fabric of everyday life. Fanny was a talented quilter, known for her warm and inviting creations. Her dedication to sewing extended beyond mere fabric; each stitch was a piece of love she shared with family and friends. Cooking and celebrating holidays filled her home with laughter and joy, creating cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. Fanny's spirit shone brightly through her love of music and dance. Whether it was twirling around the living room or camping under the stars, she engaged fully in every moment, bringing light and laughter wherever she went. Family was the center of her universe, and she poured her heart into nurturing those relationships.
Fanny will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her significant other, Fred Robicheaux; two children, Monty Gaudet Jr. and wife Patty and Tracey Matthiews and husband Troy; seven grandchildren, Jessy Eues (Eric), Brandon Gaudet (Brittany), Megan Gaudet, Hunter “Spanky” Gaudet (Ambor), Monica “Scoot” St. Romain (Christopher), Veronica “Lulu” Bourgeois (Gabe), Maegan Davis (Corey); 18 great- grandchildren, Parker Eues, Savannah Eues, Gabriella Eues, Taytum Clevenger, Brayden Clevenger, Gene Gaudet, Kloe Vicknair, Bransen Gaudet, Gracie Gaudet, Makenzie Gaudet, Marikay Duval, Ellie Jenkins, Christian Jenkins, Cooper St. Romain, Easton St. Romain, Veda St. Romain, Avery Davis, and Mason Davis; sister, Poochie Daigle; brother, U.J. Leonard; four godchildren, Crystal Aucoin, Howie Gaudet, Susie Gaudet, and Avery “T-Butch” Leonard; her beloved fur-baby, Butch.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman Leonard and Lillian Hebert Leonard; siblings, Dalbes Hebert, Ury Aucoin, Avery “Butch” Leonard, Leonard Aucoin, and Annabelle Falgout; three nieces, Nanny Molly, Angela Seymore, and Jodie Leonard.
Pallbearers will be Hunter Gaudet, Brandon Gaudet, Eric Eues, Troy Matthiews, Howie Gaudet, Evan St. Romain, Jo Jo Daigle, Pammy Sampey, and Gabe Bourgeois.
A celebration of Fanny's life will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 2:00 PM, at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Friends and family are encouraged to join us as we honor her remarkable journey and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind. After the service, Fanny will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery, surrounded by the love that she cherished throughout her life.
