Farrell Coffey, age 65 years, of the Dobbs Hollow Community died Sunday, October 8, 2023 at his home.
He was born in Stearns, Kentucky on April 12, 1958 the son of Wesley and Elsie (Koger) Coffey. Farrell had worked in the strip mines and saw mills and was a member of the Cedar Grove United Baptist Church. Fishing, hunting, camping, being outdoors, and reading his Bible was his favorite past times.
His parents; brothers, Hoyet Coffey, Stanley Coffey and Anthony Wayne Coffey; and sister, Rosie Coffey precede him in death.
Survivors include his son, Adam Coffey (Aimee) of Whitley City, Kentucky; daughter, Angela Coffey (Larry Ellison) of Somerset, Kentucky; brothers, Clarence Coffey (Fay) of Stearns, Kentucky, Francis Coffey (Debbie) of Parkers Lake, Kentucky, Ruben Coffey (Leah) of Plano, Texas, and Andrew Coffey (Sharon) of Cleveland, Tennessee; sisters, Joanne Jones (Clyde) of Stearns, Kentucky, Margie Hernandez (George) of Kings Mountain, Kentucky, Dorothy Gregory (Kelly) of Bronston, Kentucky, and Judy Clark (Randall) of Lancaster, Kentucky; grandchildren, Urijah and Luka Coffey; and special friends, George and Michael Gregory.
Funeral services will be held 2pm Thursday, October 12, 2023 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Silas Gregory officiating. Burial to follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 12pm Thursday at the Funeral Home.
