Faullon Roberts Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Rhodes Funeral Home - Washington Avenue on Jan. 28, 2026.
Faullon J. Roberts, age 43, was born on January 4, 1983, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He transitioned peacefully on January 5, 2026 surrounded by love and memories of a life well lived. He was preceded in death by his father, Leander J. Roberts Jr.

Faullon was a proud son of New Orleans, deeply shaped by its music, culture, and vibrant spirit. From an early age, he displayed creativity and confidence that followed him throughout his life. Growing up, he was featured in a Mardi Gras photograph displayed at Gentilly Woods Mall, a small but meaningful reminder of his connection to the city he loved. He was a beloved parishioner of former St. James Major Catholic Church.

As a teenager, Faullon was a natural performer. He was a member of a dance group known as The Creepy Crawlers and participated in talent shows at St. Augustine and St. Mary's. While attending John F. Kennedy High School, he played the trumpet and proudly wore jersey number 38 on the football field.

Faullon later attended Grambling State University, where he continued to grow creatively and socially. Self-taught on the guitar, he developed a deep appreciation for jazz, often spending time in jazz clubs where the sounds of improvisation and soul stirred his spirit. He also developed a passion for mentorship as he led as a mentor for Lincoln Prep school's varsity football team, where he poured encouragement, guidance, and positivity into young athletes. During this time, he also formed lifelong friendships. His close-knit group of friends, affectionately known as "Team Swaggerific," built a true brotherhood-one rooted in loyalty, laughter, and shared experiences. Faullon was known for bringing people together and hosting gatherings that reflected his joyful and magnetic spirit.

Professionally, Faullon worked at Lowe's, where he took great pride in his career and personal development. He completed Department Manager Development and Managerial Training and earned multiple awards and certificates recognizing his excellence in customer service, leadership, and performance. His dedication, work ethic, and belief in his own growth were evident in everything he pursued. He often spoke of claiming his future and walking confidently toward the blessings he believed were ahead.

Faullon leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving mother, Mary A. Roberts; his siblings, including his "twin" sister, Fallon J. Roberts, Michelle "Chelle" A. Turner (Keytree), Leander "Lee" Roberts (Missy), Theron Harris (Carrie), and Anthony Donsereaux; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, friends, and brothers by bond.

A Celebration of Life honoring Faullon J. Roberts will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Rhodes Funeral Home, located at 3933 Washington Avenue, New Orleans, Louisiana 70125. Visitation will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., followed by services from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Faullon will be remembered for his swagger, his creativity, his love of music, his pride in growth, his generous heart, and the way he made people feel seen and welcomed. Though his physical presence is gone, his spirit lives on in every laugh shared, every song remembered, and every life he touched. His life was marked by expression, rhythm, fellowship, and faith – qualities that left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Mathew 5:13-16 Let your light shine before others, that they may see Your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.[Mathew 5:16]
