Fauntie Wilcoxon

Fauntie Wilcoxon, nee Cutler, died February 14, 2023 at Jennings Terrace Nursing Home in Aurora, IL. Fauntie was born in Preston, Minnesota, the daughter of Claude and Lola Cutler.
She attended Hamline University in St. Paul, MN where she met and married Clair Wilcoxon. They had three children, Scot, Sandra and Steve, and served as Methodist Missionaries in Argentina for five years. They returned to Minnesota and lived in New Brighton and Lake Crystal before moving to Florida, then Arizona, and later to Illinois.
Fauntie received a B.S.N. degree from Hamline University, attended graduate courses at the University of Minnesota and Mankato State University, and received an M.B.A. degree from Nova University in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Fauntie served as Director of Nursing for various nursing homes and hospitals.
As dedicated as she was her profession, her love for music was always at the core of her life. She played in many bands and orchestras, and always sang in church choirs. Deeply devout, she was ordained as a Methodist Minister later in life to serve congregations in rural Minnesota, and became a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church after moving to Aurora.
Fauntie is survived by her son, Scot (Patty Engle) of Browerville, MN; daughter, Sandra (Bill DuPree) of Aurora, IL; three grandsons: Elliott, Carl and Chris (Becky) of the Minneapolis area; two great-grandchildren, Nate and Sophia; and sister, Doris Forsythe of Punta Gorda, FL. Fauntie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clair; and son, Steve.
A memorial service is planned for Monday, March 6, 2023 at 11 a.m. Central Time at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 27 S. Edgelawn Drive, Aurora, IL 60506. The service will be live streamed on YouTube for the convenience of her many out-of-state family and friends at:
