Fausto Napolitano, Jr., born on January 16, 1933, in Providence, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2025, after a brief illness at Rhode Island Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who made a lasting impact on those fortunate to know him.
As a self-taught baker and chef, Fausto dedicated many years of hard work as the owner and operator of Mr. Donut. He took great pride in his work, showcasing his exceptional culinary skills and a passion for creating delicious treats that brought joy to the community. Notably, there was no recipe he couldn't perfect, and he was widely known for being an outstanding cook and talented baker. His efforts did not go unnoticed; he was regarded as a proud business owner and a dedicated family man.
Fausto served honorably in the US Army during the Korean War Conflict, exemplifying his commitment to his country and his bravery as a service member. This experience shaped his character, which was marked by a supportive and hardworking spirit. He was often seen as the epitome of a Mr. Fix-It, handling any household project with skill and determination. His loved ones will remember him as a self-starter who engaged in many hobbies, including fishing and hunting in his earlier years, and as an avid sports fan, with a particular love for football.
Among his cherished family members, his granddaughter Ava Napolitano was particularly special to him; she was truly the apple of his eye. His legacy of love and devotion to family will carry on through them. Fausto is survived by his son, David Napolitano, who continues to honor the values instilled in him by his father.
Fausto is predeceased by his beloved wife Ann J. (Barbato) Napolitano, his parents Amelia (Feola) Napolitano and Fausto Napolitano, and his siblings Anthony Napolitano, Ralph Napolitano, Carmine Napolitano, Katherine Napolitano, and Josephine Patalano.
