Fay Carter Obituary
Fay married the love of her life, Ray Carter, on August 2, 1954, in Hagerstown, Maryland. Fay was not only a devoted wife but also a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter, Rosemarie Thornton (Michael), her brother Kenneth Franklin Cather Jr., and her beloved grandchildren: Tara Motley (Kenny), Dennis Connor (Alyssa), and Carly Beard (Brian). She was also the proud great-grandmother of six: Skylar, Emma, Evelyn, Ashton, Clayton, and Harper.
Fay's heart was not only filled with love for her family but also with compassion for her friends and community. She enjoyed camping and traveling. Fay found joy in the simple pleasures, such as word searches, her faith was central to her existence; she cherished her time spent in prayer and devotion, her strength rooted in Christ.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ray Carter, her parents Kenneth Franklin Cather and Lucille Cather, and sister, Nancy Albright.
