Fay Lorraine Dixon Moser of Sweetwater, Tennessee went to be with her Lord and Savior at 1:38 am on January 6th, 2022. As she entered the gates of glory, she was met by her husband, James Washington Moser and her daughter, Miracle Ann. Starting on August 19th, 1949, she and J.W. spent 37 earthy years building a family that now spans 9 children (Bavis, Paige, Angie, Janiece, Phillip, Beth, John, Amy, Peter, and Miracle Ann) and 77 grand, great, and great- great grandchildren. She began life on May 31, 1931 in a little fishing village on Gasparilla Island, Florida with her father, Alfred Bavis Dixon and mother, Eva Vendeline Lowe Dixon. This little blue eyed blonde haired girl loved to learn, read and write short stories, but of the three, reading was her most favorite. She also learned early in her life that she loved to serve her Lord. She was a member of the Hiwassee Church of God in Madisonville, Tennessee. She served there as a Sunday School teacher, Bible School educator and director, pianist, organist, and soloist. She taught lots of children, adults and church choir members to sing. Her children grew up in a home that was full of adventure. There was plenty of family time, daily devotions, vacations, picnics, and dinners. It was also a home full of daily hustle and bustle. The broom never stood in the corner for very long. When you have 9 children, you are always cleaning, cooking and doing housework. To take care of her large family, she learned to garden, can food, and sew. She made her daughters dresses, formal dresses, and even wedding dresses all with lots of love. She made favorite family dinners of rolls, baked beans and crispy fried chicken. She did not live a life of fast and instant when it came to homemaking, but everything that she did for her family was done with love. She leaves this world to be with those that have gone on to glory before her, and she will be patiently waiting for those that she leaves behind to remember her. She will be missed very much by her family and friends, but most of all by the loves of her life: Sons - Bavis Moser of Madisonville, Phillip (Sabrina) Moser of Sweetwater, John Moser of Madisonville and Peter (Scarlet) Moser of Sweetwater Daughters - Paige (Nerle- deceased) Vickers of Placida, FL, Angie (James) Ogle of Madisonville, Janiece (Calvin) Torbett of Sweetwater, Beth (Brian) Harrell of Riverton, WY and Amy (Darell) Torbett of Madisonville and 77 grand, great and great-great grandchildren.
Graveside service and interment 4:00 P.M. Saturday, Hiwassee Church of God Cemetery. Arrangements by Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.
