Fay Ann Drayna

1937 - 2026

Fay Ann Drayna, age 88, passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.

Fay was born on November 16, 1937, in Oshkosh to Leonard and Audrey (Windhauser) Penzenstadler. She graduated from Oshkosh High School. After her children were born, she earned her degree in Library Science from UW Oshkosh in 1971. She worked as a librarian for the Oshkosh Area School District for 20 years.

Fay spent hours working in her flower gardens throughout her life. Her house was always filled with her dried flower arrangements. When the boys were young, they went on many trips including camping out west in their little orange pop-up. Later, she enjoyed several trips to Europe and across the US. She loved to sing and was a charter member of the Oshkosh Choraliers which she thoroughly enjoyed. The ""pizza ladies"" were her long-time best friends: Cathy MacArthur, Sherry Redlin, Sandy Putman, and Judy Hielsberg.

Fay is survived by her sons: Charles ""Chuck"" Kunz and William ""Bill"" Kunz; grandson, Aaron Kunz; Aaron's mother, Patricia Kunz; brother, Lee Penzenstadler; sister, Janet (Steve) Wissink; step son: Steve (Mary) Drayna; step grandchildren: Catherine (Ben) Brand and their son Calvin; Cameron (Michelle) McFarland and their children Jack, Brooklyn and James; Marnie (Joseph) Owen and their daughter Mimi; and the Penzenstadler nieces and cousins.

Fay was preceded in death by her parents; husbands: Roderick ""Butch"" Kunz, Ted Triphan, and Charles Drayna; sister-in-law, Suzanne Penzenstadler; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A celebration of life for Fay will be held at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, 100 Lake Pointe Dr., Oshkosh, WI 54904, on Friday, January 30, 2026, at 12:00 pm. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
