Faye Ruth Cole of Hilton, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on 1/6/2026 at the age of 85. She was born to the late Alfred Fuller and Ethel Marie (Workman) Schrock on April 6, 1940 in Connellsville, PA.

She was a graduate of California Teachers College and remained an active Sima Kappa sister throughout her life. She married the love of her life, the late Robert Eugene Cole on August 11, 1962. They had three children; Roger (Kim) Cole, Wendy (Scott) Cole, and Jennifer (Greg) Ophardt who gave them six grandchildren; Cam Shust (Jason Baptiste), Trevor (Brittany) Ott, Taylor (Derek) Marshall, Randy Cole (Emma Randolph). Sabrina Shust, and Courtney Ophardt (Nick Clark); and five great-grandchildren; Madelyn Rose, Lainey Mae, Ryan John Ott, Avianna Lee, and Emilia Harper. She is survived by her brother, Kenneth (Bonnie) Schrock; and brother-in-law, Bill (Cathy) Cole; and many special nieces and nephews.

Faye liked to help others in any way she could such as by making quilts and providing meals and rides. She loved volunteering at the Hilton Apple Fest, Mission Share, Greece Historical Society, and John Knox and Lakeview Community Churches. She was active in the Lakeview Community Church's Women's Group. She served as an Elder at John Knox and a Deacon at Lakeview. She worked at H&R Block and was a substitute teacher at Hilton for 25 years. She will be greatly missed by all the lives she touched. She was an instant friend to everyone she met.

Faye's Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Lakeview Community Church at 30 Long Pond Road. Calling hours will take place on Saturday, January 10, 2026 from 4 - 7 pm at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., 735 East Avenue in Hilton. Interment will be held on Monday, January 12, 2026 at 11:00 am at Parma Union Cemetery.

Donations can be made in memory of Faye to Lakeview Community Church, 30 Long Pond Rd, Rochester, NY 14612.
