Robert Jiacobbe Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc. on Mar. 4, 2026.
Hilton - Robert M. Jiacobbe passed away on March 1, 2026 at the age of 89. He was predeceased by his parents, Herman and Mary Jiacobbe; his sister, Geraldine Ricci Arena; his grandson, Robert Jiacobbe; and his grandson, Sonny Catalano. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Lucy; his children, Julie (Jim) Hill, Robert (Pam Ainsworth) Jiacobbe, Janet (Paul) Coriddi, and Debbie Lana Rutan; his grandchildren, Jennifer (Jordan) Blankenberg, Jim Hill, Stephanie Coriddi, Tina (Matt) Bachman, Paulie Coriddi, and Christopher (Diana) Catalano; his great-grandchildren, RJ, Maci, Chase, Avree, and Everett; and his sister, Barbara (Gill) Richards.

Robert was the proud owner of Jiacobbe Painting and Jiacobbe and Son Trucking in Rochester, New York, where he built not only a respected business but lasting relationships within the community. He ended his working career at Eastman Kodak. He took great pride in his work and was known for his dedication and strong work ethic.

Outside of his career, Robert found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved music, hunting and fishing, and could often be found tinkering in his garage, always working on a new project. One of his proudest accomplishments was building a pond where he spent many peaceful hours casting a line and enjoying the quiet. Those moments reflected the kind of man he was - hardworking, resourceful, and happiest when creating something with his own hands. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. He was deeply loved and will be very missed.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, kindly consider making a donation to the Craig A. Goodrich Dog Shelter, 80 Railroad Avenue, Hamlin, NY 14464 in Robert's memory.
