Faye L. Johnson

Faye Louise Johnson, 82, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday January 8th 2023. Faye was born to Alfred and Doris Eisenhardt on September 16th 1940, in Ocean Side, New York, and later moved to Harford, New York when she was a year old. She was the oldest of five kids. Faye met her husband Herschel "Skeet" Johnson when Skeet was at Faye's friends house when Faye came riding in on her horse doing a barrel stop in front of them. They were married on July 11th 1959. Faye and Herschel went on to have three children. Faye worked at the family trucking company till its closure then went on to work retail where her coworkers and regulars lovingly called her "Ms. Faye" till her retirement in 2018. Faye loved the outdoors and was a huge lover of wild life and farm life. She was happiest when she was riding her horse, gardening in her breath taking flower beds and vegetable gardens. She had a love of the holidays and loved turning her house lights on and decorating her Christmas tree. She loved baking and will be remembered for her cream puffs. She had a love for old time TV shows: Bonanza, Gunsmoke, Dr. Quinn just to name a few and taught her grandchildren to love them just as much as she did. Faye was also an avid reader, many times working on six books at one time and was able to keep all the plot lines straight to the amazement of everyone around her. She had a lifelong love of all music. Faye left behind a loving family that will dearly miss her. She was predeceased by her parents, Alfred E. Eisenhardt Sr. and Doris (Iverson) Eisenhardt Doyle; and her younger brother, John Eisenhardt and infant son, Michael. As well as her beloved dog, Sassy who passed away earlier this fall. She is survived by her husband of 63 years Herschel Johnson; brothers, Alfred "Buzz"(Sandra) Eisenhardt Jr., Peter "Pete" (Susan Fish) Eisenhardt; sister, Jean Hansen; her children Jeffrey (Karen) Johnson, Kelly (Steven) Crispell; grandchildren, Steven (Brittany) Crispell Jr., Jennifer Johnson, Kalleigh Johnson; her five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Private graveside services will be held at the Caroline Grove Cemetery, Brooktondale, NY, with the Rev. Phil Jordan officiating.
