Faye McDow

Faye McDow, nee Rosenberg, age 79, of Gilberts, IL. Her life was truly remarkable and inspiring. Faye was born in Russia in a Jewish work camp, she overcame unimaginable odds to build a life full of love and accomplishment. Growing up in Israel and moving to Illinois as a teenager, she ultimately became the beloved matriarch of her family. Faye is the loving wife and best friend for 35 years of Jerry McDow, their marriage was a testament to their love and commitment to each other; cherished mother of Shari Benkiel, June Benkiel, and Chuck (April) Benkiel; dear stepmother of Michael (Kathy) McDow and Judy (Kevin) McCarthy; adored grandmother of eight; proud great grandmother of eleven; devoted daughter of the late Harry and the late Bronia Rosenberg; treasured sister of Maier (Robin) Rosenberg; one-of-kind "Dog Mom" of Sophie.
Faye's exceptional financial mind and work ethic shone through in her roles as a computer programmer, investor, and realtor, all while ensuring there was a complete dinner on the table every night. Her passion for travel, beaches, bowling and dancing added joy to her life. She will indeed be forever in our hearts and deeply missed. Faye's legacy of strength, love, and dedication will continue to inspire and guide our family.
Service Sunday, January 5th, 12 Noon CT, at The Chapel, 195 N. Buffalo Grove Rd., Buffalo Grove (1 Block N. of Lake Cook Rd.). Faye's service will be livestreamed on her webpage at www.goldmanfuneralgroup.com. Entombment to immediately follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights.
